Billy & His Movies to date!

Ever since his film debut in director Michael Mann's 1981 crime drama Thief, actor William L. Petersen has carved a successful niche for himself in the realm of crime-oriented television and film. Audiences were quick to warm to the actor thanks to his everyman appearance and ability to elicit sympathy by portraying authority figures whose rank rarely surpassed their humanity, and in the following decades, Petersen would hone this persona to a fine point in such efforts as Mann's 1986 thriller Manhunter and, much later, the popular CBS crime series CSI Crime Scene Investigation.

As the 1980s progressed, Petersen became an increasingly recognizable figure in the world of film, in particular thanks to solid performances in such efforts as To Live and Die in LA, Manhunter, and Amazing Grace & Chuck, with his stature on the screen virtually cemented by the time he kicked off the 1990s with a turn as Pat Garrett in Young Guns II. Though roles in such films as Return to Lonesome Dove, Fear, and The Beast did indeed increase Petersen's recognition factor among the moviegoing and television-viewing masses, he more often than not seemed to be lost without Mann's direction and criminals to chase. Of course, all of this would be solved when the veteran actor stepped into the role of crime scene investigator for the 2000 television series CSI, and though feature work had certainly taken precedence over television thus far in his career, the transition seemed to benefit Petersen when the Emmy-nominated series soon shot to the top of the ratings

Amazing Grace & Chuck	Chuck Murdock is an all American kid living in a sleepy town in Montana. He is the top pitcher of the little league team as well. After taking a tour of a nuclear silo, Chuck decides to quit playing little league until nuclear weapons are disarmed. Boston Celtic Amazing Grace Smith hears about Chuck's exploits, and decides to do the same thing. Amazing then moves to the young boy's town to live. More athletes follow suit as well. Believe me when i say there were a lot of clips from some of Billy's movies i could have posted on here. The problem was that they were unsuitable to post on here due to the possibility of children visiting the site.
Many off them contained either swearing/cursing or adult material!!!!

The four above were the cleanest i could find!!!!

If you could pick a movie role for Billy, what sort of.....

character and role would you pick for him? Perhaps as a villain this time and not the good guy? a hero? In a teachers role? a military role perhaps? or as a lonely old man dealing with serious issues in his life? Personally i'd love to see him as a researcher having to deal with difficult things like in the film 'Gorilla's in the mist'.

I watched 'The Rat Pack' last night........

and was a whole lot better than the Contender! the storyline was pretty good, there was more screen time for Billy (not enough for me really) but he looked hot in the Tuxedo scenes, even hotter in the bathrobe eating ice-cream scene, and again on the boat scene. Was a nice change to see Billy smiling so much on screen, but i was thrown by the accent he spoke with, but you could still tell his quite distinctive voice when he spoke. I'm not sure he quite pulled of a convincing J F Kennedy though. Overall the film was okay i have to say.
