1st June - Sarah Siddons Award Gala - Billy attends & Recieves Award

@ the Ritz-Carlton Hotel at Water Tower Place in Chicago

The evening honored two remarkable actors for their distinguished achievements. William Petersen was honored with the 2008-09 Sarah Siddons Award as Chicago's Actor for All Seasons. Hollis Resnik was the recipient of a Chicago's Leading Lady Award

Presenting the awards was Dennis Zacek, Artistic Director of Victory Gardens Theater. William Petersen was presented with the 2008-09 Sarah Siddons Award as Chicago's Actor for All Seasons with a standing ovation and glowing tribute from his presenter.

The event benefited the Sarah Siddons Scholarship Fund for theatre students.

19th June - Billy & Gina attend the Premier of Michael Mann's ''Public Enemies'' Movie

@ AMC River East 21 theaters on East Illinois Street Thursday night,

Johnny Depp, playing John Dillinger fascinated him because he personally identified with a lot of traits of the notorious gangster -- ''except, of course, all the criminal stuff,"

Johnny Depp the star of the film - ''I'd like to set the record straight, in case anyone's wondering: John Dillinger was a big Cubs fan.''

'One of the best parts of that was I got to go to Wrigley Field a lot when we weren't filming last summer. Went as much as I could, just like Dillinger,''

''I get back here every excuse I get," he said. "My mom still lives here, but more than that I love working in this place. I think it's the most vibrant, exciting city in America."

This play is about the baby steps of someone's personal growth told in a somewhat dark way.

'The plot of Rantoul and Die goes something like this: "Rallis (Rich Hutchman) and Debbie's (Cynthia Ettinger) marriage has reached its expiration date. In fact, it's soured and stuck to the bottom of the carton. She wants him to pack his stuff and hit the bricks, but he's clingin' to the past like a cat on a screen door. How far will a man go to hang on to his lady fair? It's a thin line between love and hate. A kiss and a punch. An ice cream cone and a beer bottle to the back of the head.'

"It's pretty darn funny," Roberts says of the production, "and not for the squeamish." As a "young fellow" Roberts had the opportunity to see shows in Chicago at Steppenwolf Theatre Company and Remains Theater in their early days. "That's the kind of theater I have always responded to . . . not very laid back. A certain sense of danger like, 'Hey, are we going to be okay here?' There's something tribal about it."

“I would have come to the event sooner but I was always so busy filming,” he said. “I’m delighted to finally be able to visit and I’m particularly looking forward to meeting the people from the many territories who have supported us throughout the years and helped make the show such a huge success.”

“The hardest thing is to resist the temptation to stick my oar in. And in fact I do have the option to re-appear. Grissom is still out there in the ether so it’s okay to pop in from time to time. And I’m also really enjoying my role as a producer. It’s a job that, when you do it right, is very creative.

But i have to say i am not sure if these are sisters in law, or full blood siblings?? as i wasn't aware that he had sisters, only around 4 or 5 brothers????? anyone know the answer please?

the weekend when he attended Rantoul & Die in La on Saturday night! he's looking as good as ever, happier, not as pale looking as he did in France.

But i really do have to comment oh his wife's dress, in my eyes it was horrendous, anyone else think the same?
