Grissom or Sara related quotes:
Brass (to Grissom in a flashback): The thing is, if something were to happen to me, I don't think Ellie would, uh... care.
(Talking about Brass' surgery)
Grissom: What are the odds?
Doctor: Mr. Grissom, this isn't a casino. I don't give odds.
Grissom: Do it.
Grissom: Where's McKeen?
Greg: I sent him home. (Grissom looks surprised) I'm kidding, he went to get something to eat.
Greg (referring to Brass): You two have known each other for a long time.
Grissom: We've worked together ever since he came from New Jersey.
Greg: Just between you and me, does he always wear a suit? Like when you guys go to dinner, the movies, or whatever it is you do when you hang out? Cause I've got to tell you, the thought of him in a sweater... it freaks me out.
Grissom: We don't... hang out, Greg.
Greg: No kiddin? I just assumed.
(Looking at the victim's body)
Grissom: Where's the head?
Nick (with little enthusiasm): I'll find it.
(Break in the conversation and Grissom finds a toupe)
Grissom: Hey Nick?
Nick: Yeah?
Grissom: I think I found a toupé. Our vic may be bald.
Nick (sarcastically): Thanks. That will help me distinguish it from the other severed heads I find out here
Grissom (referring to the victim who wore a corset, giving him an impossibly small waist and displacing his internal organs): David... are you getting the liver temp or performing acupuncture?
David: Well, his liver's not where it's supposed to be. Do you think this is some kind of birth defect?
Grissom (to Sara): What do you think?
Sara: I think.... I feel fat.
Attendant (referring to a whale-bone corset): They don't make them like this anymore.
Sara (smiling): I'm sure the whales appreciate that.
GSR moments: After speaking with Brass' doctor and having to make a very difficult decision for his friend, Grissom is seen sat alone in his office as Sara enters and places a supportive hand on his shoulder asking if he is okay. When Grissom & Sara re-enact the duel that killed Caleb Carson but they use their camera's instead at weapons looks quite playful between them as they both grin on turning.(In Sara's bedroom - very last scene of the episode & season leaving fans thinking OMFG!)
Grissom: I dunno. Most people want to die in their sleep, I suppose.... and never know that it is happening. Like a crime scene: 'Surprise! You're dead!'. I'd prefer to know in advance that I was going to die. I'd like to be diagnosed with cancer, actually. Have some time to prepare. Go back to the rainforest one more time, re-read Moby Dick. Possibly enter an international chess tournament. At least have enough time to say goodbye to the people I love.
Sara (enters from the bathroom): I'm not ready to say goodbye.
CBS Promotional shot GSR quotes: Sara: Go in for sex and get stung; that's every guy's fear. (Grissom turns to her and makes an odd face)Funny moments:
Bobby (about the substance inside of a gun barrel): Hodges will have to verify this, but I believe that is cream of wheat.
Grissom: So he's a cereal killer?
Bobby: Snap, crackle, pop. Eww! moments:Interesting facts:This is the first season, not have any appearences of Catherine's daughter, Lindsey, just mentioned by name only.(About corset training)
Sara: Maybe for Scarlett O'Hara.
Scarlett O'Hara is the protagonist in Margaret Mitchell's novel, Gone with the Wind. This story takes place around the outbreak of the American Civil War. Grissom: ...re-read Moby Dick.
In the episode "Committed", Sara mentions that she read Moby Dick.
Also, the original script only said "Read more books. It was William Peterson who specified Moby Dick during shooting.
In the movie Gunshy (1998) which starred WIlliam Petersen as Jake, he talks about the book Moby Dick written by Herman Melville about a whale as one of his favourites and also reads it during the movie for MIchael Wincott's character.Catherine mentioned "Belushied the victim" to a woman who is questioned in his death.
This refers to the late comic John Belushi who died after a woman gave him a speedball; he was later found dead in his motel.
