| 9.10 One to Go Extra | Grissom Leaves CSI | 9.10 One To Go Continue | Behind the Scenes Filming of 9.10 One To Go |
The episode opens up on a daylight scene that looks like a make shift morgue with a canopy, next to the site of the discovered skeleton & male body from the last episode. Doc Robbin's Grissom and some cops can be seen. Doc & Grissom stand by the table containing the skeletal remains of Joel Stiener, as Doc tells Grissom that the victim had a broken thiod bone, meaning he was strangled. The other male body found with ten stab wounds is identified as that of Jeff Masters & His wife Maureen is reported still missing. They are informed that this is the tenth couple.
The next scene shows Captain Jim Brass, Conrad Eclkie & Sheriff Berdick discussing the case and the impact on the media and the lab.
Next shows a scene where Dr Langston shows up at the scene of the 2 new victim discoveries that Nate Haskell led them to.
Brass and Grissom are then seen walking down the halls of the crime lab as Jim speaks
Brass: I've been asked to ask you to stay on
(Grissom gives him a WTF! Look but doesn't even reply)
Brass:Okay so i've asked![]()
Next we see a quick flash back of Nathan Haskell in the lecture hall as he describes giving his victims hope, as the voice over continues in the the the latest female victim Maureen Masters waking up tied to a table face down, with the killer in the background speaking; 'Seretonin is a chemical that produces happiness'![]()
We see Grissom enter Conrad Ecklie's office as the man is on the phone to
someone and a bit of a comical scene takes place.
Ecklie: Yes Sir absolutely. Come in (He says to Grissom as he ends the call)
Grissom: I need a favor, something thats gotta be cleared by the sheriff.
Ecklie: What? (looks shocked at Grissom) You got bugs in my office?
Grissom: (Frowning) No! I have bugs in my office.
Ecklie: What? (with a WTF look)
Grissom: What are we talking about?
Ecklie: Sheriff Burdick is recognizing stuff ???? and wants the crime lab to report to him.....He just made me the new undersheriff.
Grissom: Congratulations Conrad. And i have a great idea for your first official act.![]()

Next Grissom & Dr Raymond Langston are seen in Grissom's office as the discuss the case, and the reports of Canabis being found in the victims systems after autopsy. Dr Langston tells Grissom his theory that he thinks that the killer must have used another substance to subdue them for no defensive woulds to have been reported on the victims.
Grissom then goes on to tell Dr Langston:
Grissom: We could use all the help we can get
Grissom tells him he his has retained his services officially for the investigation
Dr Langston: Well i'm in.
Grissom: I have a theory of my own. I think the accomplice is a student from your class
(Langston thinks)
Grissom: Who's idea was it to talk to Haskell?
Dr Langston: One of my students from last semester.....Dan Forester![]()
Next scene is Jim Brass in an interrogation room with Dan Forester, the student from the class, after being shown pictures of all the dead victims Forester tells Brass that he and a few other students wrote to Haskell and asked about the seminar because he was the only one to reply to them. When asked who was in the group that originally wrote to Haskell, Forester tells him he can't remember.![]()
We now see Grissom, Dr langston, Catherine, Nick & Greg in the lecture hall as they run recordings of the Nathan Haskell lecture & try to trace which possible students Haskell made eye contact with & possibly trying to comunicate with them withour raising suspician. They made the discover that the student is a Thomas Donaver.![]()

Next we police approaching and searching the house as Mrs Donaver answers the door, the we see Brass interviewing Mrs Donaver at LVPD. The scene changes to Greg, Riley, Cath & Nick at the Donaver house as they start to find evidence matching him as their prime suspect. Greg Matches a pair of sneakers to a print taken from the Ian Wallace crime scene, a laptop is found & taken back to the lab.
The scene changes to Nathan Haskell's talk over as we go back to the latest female victims location again as the killer cuts the ties binding her to the table free & she makes a break for the door. The killer gives her false hope as the narative continues from Haskell.![]()
Next we see Grissom & Dr Langston in the layout room as Hodges comes in asking who the new person is, then he acts as if he is one of the CSI's almost bragging as he is introduced. The whole scene is quite amusing. then this leads on to Grissom & ??? looking at a map of Lake Meade where Greg states that Hodges identified a sample of moss that he found in the house on the suspects shoes as only being found on the the location of the North side of the lake.![]()
The next few scenes are quite brief as we first see Nick enter the Attic of the Donaver house and find a box of video tapes dated the year that Joal Stiener & his girlfriend went missing, he and Catherine have a brief conversation in which Nick states; 'This is Grissom's last case....i just wanna win it for him'.
Scene now cuts to Brass interviewing Mrs Donaver again at LVPD, then it moves back to the Donaver house again as Catherine discovers Sage extract (Salvinia Divinorum - Haluciagentic drug)![]()
Brass is in a patrol car as they spot their prime suspect Tom Donaver, the guy runs off with officers in pursuit which then leads to Mr Donaver being hit by an oncoming patrol car killing him. Brass looks defeated as he stared at the dead guy.
